Peyton Manning Is On Pace For 112 Touchdowns This Season, Obviously That Won’t Happen, But It’s Still Awesome

Just some quick thoughts here, but it's pretty amazing what Peyton Manning did last night against the Baltimore Ravens after they won the Super Bowl last season.

Yes, they lost nine starters on defense and that likely played a part, but Peyton Manning carved up the defense with over 450 yards and seven touchdowns, including two each to Wes Welker, Julius Thomas and Demaryius Thomas. Welker was the top free agent signing for the team and it looks as if he will put up some huge numbers for the team this season with Manning. The Thomas boys looks like two athletic freaks and Manning will keep targeting them this season.

According to ESPN.com, no player has thrown seven touchdowns in 44 years and now Manning has done something that many of the other great quarterbacks in the game have only dreamed about doing. Manning also helped give the Ravens the worst loss to open the season after winning the Super Bowl.

Manning is on pace for 112 touchdowns, and while he obviously won't do that this season, it's still awesome that he is.
