Fantasy Football Sleepers Rashard Mendenhall, Tavon Austin, Chris Givens, Michael Floyd, Eddie Lacy In Week 2

The NFL season is off to an exciting start after the Broncos killed the Ravens 49-27 on Thursday night and with games going on all around the league, fantasy owners are looking to the later games to decide who they should start or sit and play in the 4:25 and night games to try and win in the Week 1 matchup and some names to look at include Rashard Mendenhall, Tavon Austin, Chris Givens Michael Floyd, Eddie Lacy, Daryl Richardson, Vernon Davis, Carson Palmer and Colin Kaepernick.

The late games have potential to turn around slow days for owners who may have had less production than they would have liked in the 1:00 PM games and any owners play against Drew Brees or Adrian Peterson will be happy to gain some life back later on with the Packers, Rams, 49ers and Cardinals in action before the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys play on Sunday night. The Monday night games also have potential to be very productive for fantasy owners, with Arian Foster, Michael Vick, Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson, Ryan Mathews, Philip Rivers and Robert Griffin III in action for the Redskins, Eagles, Chargers and Texans.

The San Francisco 49ers have plenty of potential impact sleepers, including Kendall Hunter, Quinton Patton, Jon Baldwin as well as Colin Kaepernick, who may not be a typical sleeper, but he has been undervalued in some leagues and should put up numbers this season. Having Frank Gore last season was a total positive experience for fantasy owners, as he went over 1,000 yards yet again and played in all 16 games for the second straight season. Any smart fantasy owner will pick up Kendall Hunter in case an injury goes down to Gore and he should put up solid numbers as a backup anyway. The wide receivers are led by Anquan Boldin and he could be a very productive target for Kaepernick.

The Green Bay Packers have big names like Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb and James Jones on offense and with rookies Eddie Lacy and Jonathan Franklin coming in to join James Starks, the team could be one of the highest scoring in fantasy football. Lacy should get more carries than Franklin and Cobb is a big sleeper after breaking out last season and that is one reason why the Packers let Greg Jennings go and even though the offensive line is in a shuffle after some injuries, the team should be as productive as they were on offense last season.

The Rams and Cardinals game has sleepers everywhere, with Carson Palmer, Tavon Austin, Daryl Richardson, Stedman Bailey, Rashard Mendenhall, Michael Floyd and Sam Bradford and the two teams will go at it in St. Louis at 4:25 PM on Sunday. Austin could be a huge rookie sleeper after coming out of West Virginia and along with Chris Givens the Rams should be productive at the wide receiver position as Bradford develops after another full season. Floyd could have a big year in the offense with Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald and after being the worst offense last season, they will try to run the ball and that makes Rashard Mendenhall a sleeper after he was a solid back for the Steelers and he has potential to be over 1,000 yards and five touchdowns this season with his size and Bruce Arians is head coach after working with him in Pitt and he should be the favored back.
