The Giants and Cowboys are not toe top dogs in the NFC East as the season begins. They might be stacked with talent, but the Washington Redskins enter the season as the favorite in the East. In 2012, the Cowboys and Giants finished second and third respectively with Dallas barely missing the playoffs on the last day of the season.
The Cowboys will host the Giants and they will look to start their 2013 season the same way their 2012 campaign took off; with a victory over the Giants.
The Cowboys and Giants had the duties of playing the season opener. This year, they will play each other in their season openers. Both teams have their quarterbacks and wide receivers set, but their running game is a bit of a question mark.
For the Giants in 2013, they entered the season with a lot of hype. Andre Brown and David Wilson were supposed to be their two-headed running monster as both player put up great numbers on the ground last season. The Giants let Ahmad Bradshaw walk since they believed they had enough running power and depth on their roster. However, Brown broke his leg during the preseason and now, Wilson will be their main running back.
The Cowboys have DeMarco Murray in the backfield and he likely get most of the snaps. The good news for the Coboys is they come healthy into this meeting. The Giants don't know whether Victor Cruz will play as he shows up Probable in the reports, while Tackle David Diehl and Center David Baas are out for this ball game.
