The 49ers have won two straight division titles since the Seahawks claimed theirs in 2010 despite going 7-9 for the season. San Francisco beat out Seattle to last year's crown by one-half game en route to their first Super Bowl appearance in 18 years.
Kaepernick had a phenomenal performance in the season opener against the Green Bay Packers, completing 27 of 39 passes for a career-high 412 yards with three touchdowns to lead the 49ers to a 34-28 victory.
Meanwhile, Wilson was a bit shaky in his season opener against the Carolina Panthers but still led the Seahawks to a 12-7 win last Sunday. He was 1-for-5 passing before completing 24 of his next 28 to finish with a career-best 320 yards.
"We just didn't get it done the way we like. I contributed to that so I've got to make sure I help out and do the right things to make sure we get on track with what is really important to us," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said.
