Peter King and his Monday Morning Quarterback column is required reading for many NFL fans and after another great week of football, The MMQB jumps into the best game, looking back as the Seattle Seahawks defeated the San Francisco 49ers at home in a dominating game.
The Seahawks won 29-3 without a crazy dominating game from anyone on offense, although Marshawn Lynch was his usual beast self with 98 yards and two touchdowns as well as another in the air for three, while Russell Wilson finished the game with one touchdown and 142 yards passing. The Seahawks showed their dominance at home against the 49ers to take the victory again and the team had plenty thanks to the 12th man, their fans afterwards.
King writes about the 12th man phenomenon and how it has caught on in Seattle and it has been an issue for opposing teams for years, as CenturyLink Field has often been called the loudest in the league. The 49ers have had trouble there due to the noise and that is one reason why they have had nearly 200 penalty yards there over the past two games. The team hasn't lost at home in quite some time and now are looking at a 3-0 start as they play the Jaguars next and while that game will be easy, the Seahawks won't overlook their next opponent.
King also writes a bit on Johnny Manziel and the Alabama football game from the weekend and also about the Miami Dolphins, his surprise team in the league at 2-0. A number of teams improved to 2-0 on the season, including the Chiefs and the Dolphins were one of the teams that looked good on Sunday, as Ryan Tannehill got the best of Andrew Luck after being taken in the top 10 together.
The Broncos are now 2-0 and the best in the Fine 15 after beating the NY Giants and other teams that look good are the Saints, Seahawks and Texans as well as the Bears after they also improved to 2-0. James Jones and Michael Vick had huge games, while Lynch came through for fantasy owners with 3 TDs.
