Check out the TV schedule with channel info and game time as a new week of football takes off.
TV Channel- Where to Watch?: NFL Network
Time: 8:25 p.m. ET
Matchup: 49ers vs. Rams
Tune into the NFL Network to catch all the action from Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. Both teams are 1-2, sharing second place with the Arizona Cardinals behind the undefeated Seattle Seahawks.
The 49ers will look to bounce back after losing badly, once again, against the Indianapolis Colts. For the second straight week, this explosive offense was held to single digits. First it was the Seahawks and the Colts followed suit with an amazing defensive performance, allowing their rushing game to handle the rest.
Anquan Boldin's first game with the 49ers is looking like an anomily as the wide receiver has been tamed in back-to-back weeks. The team looked deep in receiving entering the 2013 season, but on Sunday, with Boldin as the number one target and biggest threat, the 49ers could not get their aerial attack going. There was no Vernon Davis, leaving Boldin all alone down field.
The 49ers can take advantage of the Rams' weaker secondary to get their offense going. If there is any day San Francisco can right their wrongs on offense, it should be against the Rams on Thursday night. The Rams do not have a potent secondary, which allows 288 yards per game and worse of all, their defense allows 105 rushing yards per game. This spells trouble with a quarterback like Colin Kaepernick, who is dangerous with his arms and his legs.
The Rams do have a chance to combat what they lack on defense with their talents on offense. St. Louis has Sam Bradford, who has the Rams offense eight in the NFL in passing yards averaged. The Rams could use a little help on the run, but Bradford has been solid with his passing.
This should be a great NFC West showdown, just tune into NFL Network Thursday night as the Rams and 49ers hook up in Week 4's opener.
