Monday Night Football Final Score 38-17: New Orleans Saints Improve To 4-0 With Win Over Miami Dolphins

Drew Brees had another record breaking performance and the New Orleans Saints pulled out a big win on Monday Night Football, defeating the Miami Dolphins 38-17 to improve to 4-0 this season to lead the NFC South and the team is now tied with the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks as undefeated teams in the NFL.

The Miami Dolphins and the New Orleans Saints have yet to lose a game this season after playing three on the schedule and now the 3-0 clubs will face off on Monday Night Football at 8:30 pm from the Superdome and it could be one of the best matchups of the early part of the season.

The game starts up Monday night with the countdown on ESPN and the kickoff will go on at 8:30 pm and the Saints will be looking to continue their streak of production on offense, as they are putting up over 300 yards passing per game behind Drew Brees. The return of Sean Payton and the addition of Rob Ryan as defensive coordinator has had fast results for the team, with the offense moving with a brisk pace and the defense looking much more improved, with the secondary ranking second in the NFL through three games with just 184 yards in the air per contest.

Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham have continued their love fest from the past couple years, hooking up for nearly 360 yards already and the electric tight end already has two thirds of the touchdown catches from Brees. The Dolphins have surprised many by going 3-0 and one reason has been the play from Ryan Tannehill, who has clearly developed in his second year as the starting quarterback and the additions of Mike Wallace and Dannell Ellerbe as well as the re-signing of Brian Hartline have paid off early on.

The Saints will play on the road against the Chicago Bears and the New England Patriots after the home game against the Dolphins and finishes a stretch in which New Orleans played three of their first four games at home. After doing that, the Saints will play three of four on the road, including games against the Buffalo Bills at home and on the road against the NY Jets. The team has a tough stretch following that and it could greatly dictate how the rest of the season plays out, as the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers will visit the Superdome.

The Saints have been playing well on offense, but they will be tested in the second half of the season, as they have road trips against the Atlanta Falcons and the Seattle Seahawks, the latter of which will be on Monday night football, the second time the team will play on ESPN in primetime. The rest of the schedule includes two games in three weeks against the Carolina Panthers and the team also has a road game against the St. Louis Rams and a home matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17 to end the season.

The Dolphins started the season with a 23-10 victory over the Browns and then defeated the Indianapolis Colts and the Atlanta Falcons and now the tough stretch continues with the Saints. The team has a home game against the Baltimore Ravens and then has a bye in Week 6 before playing the Buffalo Bills and then on the road against the New England Patriots. After a home game against the Bengals, the team will play on Monday night football for the second time against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and then will be home against the new-look Chargers. The Dolphins and Mike Sherman will continue to put more in Ryan Tannehill's hands and it could end up working out very well this season for Miami.
