After heading to the LSU and Georgia game last week for a prime SEC matchup, the ESPN College GameDay crew will head to Evanston to join the purple brigade for the Ohio State Buckeyes matchup against the Northwestern Wildcats at Ryan Field on Saturday night.
Ohio State is the toughest game for Northwestern on the schedule and the first real opponent since playing Cal and Syracuse at the beginning of the season. The Buckeyes are 5-0 this season after defeating Wisconsin last week 31-24 in a tough game against the then-23rd ranked Badgers and that came after wins against Florida A&M, California in a rare west coast trip as well as San Diego State and Buffalo to open the season.
Ohio State has been impressive this season despite dealing with some injuries, including to quarterback Braxton Miller, although he will be starting on Saturday and he has helped to lead the rushing offense, which ranks 12th in the nation and the team is also averaging nearly 50 points per game, ranking sixth in the entire nation. The team opened with a 40-20 win over Buffalo and the offense hasn't stopped since, scoring 40 or more points in four of five games this season.

The team will next play at home against Iowa and Penn State before heading out on the road against for Purdue and Illinois. The Buckeyes are looking to run the table for the second straight season under coach Urban Meyer and this time around they will be allowed into the postseason. The Buckeyes finish the season with a home game against Indiana and then they will finish on the road in Ann Arbor for a game against Michigan in a contest that could have conference and national implications.
Meyer has done an excellent job using both of his quarterbacks this season, with Miller passing for over 400 yards and six touchdowns, while Kenny Guiton has been even better, throwing for 664 yards and 13 touchdowns already this year. The Wildcats are a tough opponent and the team will be fired up on Saturday night as they host the Buckeyes.
The Wildcats play against Wisconsin on the road after the Badgers game and that will be a big test away from home before the team hosts Minnesota. The team plays two road games in a row against Iowa and Nebraska and then the team will play against Michigan and Michigan State before finishing the year on the road against Illinois.
