Score Boston 0-0 Rays BOT of 1st
Check out the live blog of the Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays as both teams search for a victory for different reasons. Join us for a play-by-play and color commentary as Game 4 of the ALDS starts at 8:30 p.m. ET. Here are the lineups and pitching matchups for this pivotal and possibly series-ending Game 4.
The Red Sox have the 32-year-old, Jake Peavy, on the mound as they look to win the series and head back home to wait for either the Detroit TIgers and Oakland Athletics to decide their affair. Though the Red Sox play at home in Game 5, they rather win it all tonight. In fact, the Red Sox's Game 4 starter did not even want the series to go to Game 4.
WIth Clay Buchholz, who has been almost automatic in 2013, on the mound, the Red Sox appeared to have the easy win. When the Red Sox took a quick 3-0 lead in the first few innings, it looked as though the Rays' season was over. However, the Rays packed a punch and the Red Sox's offense was held silent for the rest of the game. Here's thelr batting lineup Tuesday night.
Red Sox Lineup
1. Jacoby Ellsbury CF
2. Shane Victorino RF
3. Dustin Pedroia 2B
4. David Ortiz DH
5. Mike Napoli 1B
6. Daniel Nava LF
7. Jarrod Saltalamacchia C
8. Stephen Drew SS
9. Will Middlebrooks 3B
This Red Sox lineup is led by a red hot Victorino, who was an offseason pickup and hitting ..455, Ortiz who is whacking the ball and hitting .444 and Ellsbury who continues to set the table with a .571 average. However, they were only held to four runs in Game 3 and Jeremy Hellickson will attempt to do the same in Game 4.
The Rays will need the Hellickson that won 13 games and posted a 2.95 ERA back in 2011. He will also need some backup as the Rays' offense has struggled in the postseason. This is the Rays' batting lineup.
Rays Batting Lineup

5. Ben Zobrist 2B

7. Kelly Johnson DH
8. Yunel Escobar SS
9. Jose Molina C
