Oakland Raiders Rumors: Pat White, David Carr, Trent Edwards, Montario Hardesty and Ramses Barden Get Tryouts As Reggie McKenzie and Dennis Allen On Hot Seat?

The Oakland Raiders are 2-3 this season after winning against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday night and while the team is performing better than many expected with Terrelle Pryor at quarterback, after cutting Matt Flynn they are looking for some new blood, with Pat White, David Carr, Trent Edwards, Montario Hardesty and Ramses Barden all getting tryouts for the team.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Raiders brought in a number of players to work out after cutting ties with quarterback Matt Flynn, including throwers David Carr, Pat White and Trent Edwards as well as running back Montario Hardesty and former Giants wideout Ramses Barden. The team is likely to sign at least one quarterback after getting rid of Flynn, as they have not been impressed with rookie Tyler Wilson on the practice squad after releasing him in the preseason and with Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings banged up, they need depth at running back.

The Raiders came into the season with decent expectations and while they weren't looking to be a playoff team, they were hoping things would be more consistent after signing a number of free agents. Reggie McKenzie and Dennis Allen could be on the hot seat after cutting Flynn, as the deal turned out to be pretty embarrassing since they traded for him this offseason. McFadden is another issue they have to deal with, as he is in a contract year and now that he is injured again, his future with the team is clearly in question.

White had some interest from the Bills and now there is a chance he could sign with the Raiders, as Matt McGloin served as the backup for Terrelle Pryor, but the team likely wants someone with a similar style of play to their starter. The team lost their opening game before defeating the Jaguars and now they have won one of their last three games after defeating the Chargers in the Sunday night game that was pushed back due to the Oakland A's playing there the previous night.

The team is ranked 27th in the league in passing yards and ninth in rushing yards per game despite the injuries and now Reggie McKenzie and Allen will look at the players brought in to see if any fit with what the team is trying to do on offense. Hardesty had some nice games with the Broncos and Barden was okay over his years with the Giants, but neither are legitimate starters. As for the QBs, Edwards had plenty of chances in Buffalo and White has bounced around since his days in Miami, while Carr has been a very good backup over the past few years for the Giants.
