The San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals meet in Week 6 for the first time this season. If you can't watch the game, listen to the free live stream online as these NFC West rivals go head-to-head.
The 49ers will try to continue rolling in 2013. They are 3-2, completely destroying their opponents in their last two matchups after starting the season 1-2. Their schedule will get easier as they battle two AFC South opponents. However, they will have to set their eyes on their current challengers, as division rivals are always tough matchups.
As NFC champions, expect every team in the conference to gun after the 49ers, especially those in the division. The 49ers are 1-1 against NFC West teams, recently defeating the St. Louis Rams after getting hammered by the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. The 49ers have been doing the hammering in the past two weeks, outscoring opponents 69-14.
Colin Kaepernick has not thrown the ball well in 2013, but the 49ers' rushing game is carrying this team and weathering the storm as the young quarterback is still learning behind center. With just 12 starts in his career, Kaepernick has yet to gain a full season worth of experience behind center, not counting his playoff starts. Last week, he did not turn the ball over, throwing for a touchdown, completing 6-15 passes for 113 yards.
The 49ers enter this game pretty healthy. Check out their injury report for Sunday's Week 6 game.
They play a Cardinals team that is still struggling to find its identity in 2013. However, they are battling, winning their last two games and currently sitting in third place, right behind the 49ers in the NFC West with matching 3-2 records. A win today would be huge for the Cardinals as they will face the Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons before their Week 9 Bye.
Their offense is not much despite upgrading to Carson Palmer behind center. He has completed 106 of 180 passes for 1,185 yards and five touchdowns. However, they continue to look for balance in their offense as their running game continues to develop.
