Knocking out the scoreboard is one way to change the score. Another is to hit a grand slam that puts your team in the lead.

With one swing, Giancarlo Stanton accomplished both.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, with the bases loaded, Stanton hit a 3-2 pitch from Jamie Moyer deep down the left field line where it would eventually crash into the digital scoreboard. The collision temporarily knocked out a portion of the digital display.

When asked about the blast, Staton said he wasn't sure it was the hardest ball he's ever hit. "Maybe the farthest. I don't know about the hardest," Stanton said. "But that was pretty good."

To add insult to injury, 49-year-old Moyer made his major league debut in 1986, three years before Stanton was born.

The grand slam capped of a five-run inning that propelled the Marlins to a 7-4 win over Colorado. The win elongated the Marlins' hot streak. The team has a record of 15-5 in the month of May, the best in the majors.
