Eastern Michigan Football Homicide: Demarius Reed Dead From Gunshot Wound In Apparent Murder As Body Found In Ypsilanti Apartment

An Eastern Michigan football player was found dead on Friday morning, as Deadspin.com and Ann Arbor News are reporting that Demarius Reed was found by his roommate and police are calling his death a homicide.

According to the Ann Arbor News, Reed was found early on Friday morning at his apartment in the hallway of the building in Ypsilanti by his roommate, who then called the police and they are looking at it as a homicide. The report says that Reed was found with a gunshot wound and police Detective Sgt. Thomas Eberts said the case was being looked at as a homicide.

Eastern University Michigan officials confirmed to the newspaper that Reed was found dead on Friday and police have been at the apartment complex investigating the crime. Check here for more updates. According to Deadspin.com, Reed played in all six games for the team and had 15 catches for nearly 200 yards and a touchdown this season.
