Batman vs. Superman Movie: Zack Snyder Directs College Football Game Gotham City and Metropolis State For Ben Affleck Man of Steel Sequel, See Jersey Pictures Here

The Batman vs. Superman film starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill won't be hitting theaters for quite some time, but that doesn't mean director Zack Snyder isn't getting ahead of the curve, as reports have said that the movie will start filming some scenes sans its stars as the crew will stage a college football game over the weekend between the fictional Gotham City University and Metropolis State University.

According to EW.com, the film will stage a game at halftime between East Los Angeles College and Victor Valley College, using the fictional universities for scenes to be used in the film. "The Dark Knight Rises" of course had a football scene and now Snyder is giving a nod to Christopher Nolan with his film and it's also likely a realistic way for the new film to connect both cities of Metropolis, where Superman is from, and Gotham, where Ben Affleck's Batman will hail from.

Affleck and Cavill will not be on-hand for the filming this weekend, but reports said that Snyder will be shooting three scenes for 20 minutes during halftime and Batman-News.com was able to pull some pictures of the jerseys that will be used for the game. The Gotham City University black and gold looks like what the Rogues had in "Rises" and the red on Metropolis is a nice nod to Superman himself.

The game will be at Weingart Stadium, which has room for 20,000 people and Snyder will be anticipating some excitement as he starts filming the sequel to the very successful "Man of Steel".

The jerseys are made by Under Armour and are pretty simple and this appears to be a good way for Snyder to help build the DC universe within his next film. The filming will take place on Saturday and is expected to be a fast shoot. East Los Angeles College Campus News first reported the story and said that Warner's picked the school to help support the college and while there are no plot details, what is known is that Affleck will be playing a grizzled Batman for Cavill's Superman character.
