The Dallas Cowboys are entering a much anticipated matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday to see who will be the top team in the NFC East and with DeMarco Murray dealing with an injury, rookie Joseph Randle will get the starting job in Week 7 and he could be a very solid fantasy option.
Murray is dealing with a knee injury and after sitting out practice, it looks like he will not be playing against the Eagles and while he isn't officially out of the game yet, chances are he will be for Sunday's matchup. Murray has been solid for the Cowboys this season and he is ranked eighth in the NFL in yards and sixth in touchdowns and after rushing for 428 yards this season, the Cowboys are hoping that Randle can keep up the pace.
Murray is averaging just under five yards per carry this season and last game he okayed he had just seven carries for 29 yards, but in the past two games he has two touchdowns and now Randle will get the chance to show off what he is made of against the Eagles. Randle came into the game against the Washington Redskins after Murray was injured and while he had only 17 yards, the Cowboys were not afraid to give him the ball with 11 carries and he could continue getting touchdowns if Murray is out for an extended period of time.
Randle is coming in as a rookie and he played well during the preseason and it is a good sign that last week he scored a touchdown and caught two balls, as he showed off his versatility on the field for the Cowboys. Randle had his first carries of the season against the Redskins and while he averaged just 1.5 yards per carry, he should have a much better day against the Eagles, as they are giving up over 100 yards per game. The Eagles are giving up over 300 yards against the pass and that should be good for Tony Romo and that could open things up for Randle on Sunday.
