The 2014 World Cup is getting closer and closer and with qualifying going down in the second half of 2013, the draws have come out for the UEFA region of 2014 World Cup qualifying, with Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo playing against Sweden and star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while Ukraine and France will also matchup along with Iceland and Croatia.
According to ESPNFC.com, the teams will play for spots in Brazil and now either Portugal or Sweden will miss out on the Brazil tournament and that puts some heavy pressure on Ronaldo, as the matches will be played in November. Iceland will be hosting Croatia after ties and Greece will play against Romania in a double leg and now Ronaldo will have all the pressure on his shoulders as the two teams face off, with the match coming November 15 for the first and then the 19 for the second.
From ESPNFC:: "It's going to be a very even playoff against Sweden. They do have Zlatan, after all, but it's not only him they are a strong team overall," said Paulo Bento to Eurosport. They've been many times in the final phases of major tournaments so we need to find the best way possible to reach our goal. It is a difficult tie, but we are sure that we will be in Brazil next year."
