The NBA season is getting ready to start and with the opening night tipoff right around the corner, it's the final night of preseason games on the schedule Friday night and there will be a number of teams playing their last exhibition games, including the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Clippers and Brooklyn Nets.
The first games of the night will be the New Orleans Pelicans taking on the Magic in Orlando at 7 pm and that game will air on TV on FSFL Fox Sports Florida, while the second game will be at 7:30 and there are two at that time with the Charlotte Bobcats playing the New York Knicks at home in the debut of the new Garden, while the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat will also be playing at that time from American Airlines Arena in South Florida.
The Knicks and Bobcats game will be on TV on the Madison Square Garden Network and the Nets and Heat game will be live on YES locally for Nets fans and on SUN sports for Miami fans, while the game will also be aired and televised nationally on NBA TV on Friday night. There will be another game later on Friday on NBA TV as well. The Houston Rockets will be hosting the Memphis Grizzlies at 8 pm and that game will be live on CSN Houston in Texas. The gam features Dwight Howard taking on one of the teams that made it to the West finals last season and that will be a nice test for the squad, as they are hoping for a championship this year.
The Chicago Bulls hosting the Denver Nuggets at the United Center should be one of the best games and that will be on Comcast SportsNet Chicago CSNC starting up at 8:00 pm as well. Derrick Rose has looked explosive in his return from his knee surgery and this preseason he has been lights out and so have the Bulls, as they are 7-0 during the preseason and are the last undefeated team left after the Heat defeated the Pelicans. The preseason doesn't mean much, but for a player like Rose, it's a way for him to get back in the game before the regular season starts up.
The Milwaukee Bucks are hosting the Toronto Raptors at home and that game will start up at 8:30 and will air locally on noting so best find your streams in Wisconsin. The Indiana Pacers will visit the Dallas Mavericks starting at 8:30 PM as well and that game will also be not airing locally, while the next game is at 10 PM and features the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Utah Jazz and that will be on TWC SN. The last game is the Kings visiting the Clippers and that will be on national TV on NBATV and local on FSW2. The season starts up with openers on Tuesday. Yay!
