The Los Angeles Lakers play in the 2013 NBA Season Opener as they go to work at Staples Center. Check out their schedule with TV coverage, start time and Radio info as they face the Los Angeles Clippers. This should be an interesting season for the Lakers as they look to remain relevant in the NBA.

Game Time: 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT

TV Channel: TNT

Radio Coverage: ESPN Radio, KFWB 980AM, KWKW 1330

That is correct. The Lakers are trying to stay relevant. The signing of Mike D'Antoni is still super questionable as the coach never seemed to fit the team's age scheme or their style of play. Steve Nash is turning 40 and Pao Gasol cannot shine under this offense. The Lakers must carry on and their first test in 2013 will be a fast paced team that has taken the city of L.A. by storm.

The Clippers come into town with their dynamic duo of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. The Clippers made a playoff push, but could not escape the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. This season, they looked primed to own the SportCenter highlights and to torture the Lakers with their talent and speed.

The Lakers finished the 2012-2013 in seventh place after posting a miraculous push at the end of the season, barely sneaking past the Utah Jazz and overtaking the Houston Rockets. However, they met the San Antonio Spurs, who quickly dispatched them from the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

The Lakers are without Kobe Bryant, Metta World peace is in New York and they will rely on guys like Gasol, Nash, Steve Blake and a newly acquired, Chris Kaman, who should help in the paint. The Lakers do not look primed for another playoff run in 2013-2014 as other teams around them are younger and severly talented.

In the Western Conference, teams like the Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets will only get better. An eye must be kept on the Minnesota Timberwolves, who, if healthy, can create some noise in the West. The Spurs always find a way to win and the OKC Thunder are too talented to fail.

It will be an interesting season for the Lakers. Their season starts tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT. Check out the live action with the information provided and check back to Sports World Report as we will bring you access to the games' live stream, radio stream and scoring updates.
