The Cincinnati Bengals are getting ready for a game on Thursday with the Miami Dolphins and while the team already has a number of weapons on offense, they are getting another one back in Andrew Hawkins, who will be activated and should get some action in the Week 9 game.
According to ESPN.com, Hawkins was activated off the IR and will step in for Mohamed Sanu, as he may not play much with a shoulder injury and he joins AJ Green and Marvin Jones as the top wideouts for Andy Dalton. The team is thrilled to have him back after he put up solid numbers in 14 games last season and he is back after being placed on the IT and allowed to return, meaning he has been in practice the last couple weeks with the team. The team just placed Taylor Mays on the IR.
Hawkins has great speed and potential and he had 51 catches and 533 yards last season with three touchdowns. Hawkins dealt with an ankle injury back in the preseason and now he will be back. Jones is coming off a record game with five touchdown passes, while Andy Dalton gets back another weapon after passing for over 300 yards in each of the past four games, including 325 last week. The Bengals are 6-2on the season and are leaders in the AFC North.
