The Thursday night football game ended with some controversy after the Miami Dolphins got a walk-off safety against the Bengals and that means the fantasy football Week 9 matchups are underway and some players to watch to start or sit includes DeMarco Murray, Arian Foster, Roddy White, James Jones and DeAngelo Williams as well as Jarrett Boykin.
The majority of players listed above are dealing with some type of injury issue this week and after missing out on the past two games for the Cowboys, DeMarco Murray looks like he will be a START on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings at home. Murray has been out of the lineup while dealing with a knee injury, but he was able to practice this week and did the full workout on Thursday, meaning he likely will get the start against the Vikes in Week 9. This season Murray has frustrated owners with his injuries, but other than that he has been a solid player.
Joseph Randle was and still remains a smart handcuff option with Lance Dunbar and that should be welcome news for fantasy owners that he is back in the fold after missing time. Murray has been productive while he has been on the field, but that has been the main issue for him, actually being healthy enough to play and now it looks like he will get his chance against a reeling Vikings team that has struggled greatly this season. Murray has rushed for 428 yards and three touchdowns this season and he also has been a factor in the passing game with 24 receptions for 164 yards and over his past three games played he has been productive.
Murray has scored a touchdown in three of his past four games and against the Rams about a month ago he had his best game of the season with 175 yards rushing and a touchdown and he also added 28 yards on three catches and now he could finally get back on track after dealing with the knee injury. Roddy White has been the most frustrating players for fantasy owners all season, as he has been dealing with an ankle injury and while he is listed as questionable for the game this weekend against the Carolina Panthers, he actually for once could be a good START option, but only if you are careful to watch the injury reports.
White has been hobbled all season and his stats back that up and while that has not all been on him, fantasy owners have been waiting for him to get healthy enough for a breakout game. White missed the past two games and while he is questionable with a hamstring injury, ESPN.com is reporting that he has made solid progress and could be in better shape this weekend than he has in a while. White has only 14 catches this season for 129 yards and over the past few games he played he hasn't done much, but against the Jets he has his best numbers over his past five games, making four catches for 45 yards.
Arian Foster is the toughest one for fantasy owners to try and figure out, as the running back will be a game-time decision on Sunday and since they are playing the night game against the Colts, fantasy owners could be in a tough spot. Foster should be a SIT this week unless you don't have a better starting running back option and with Ben Tate also injured, it could be a rough week for anyone that has Foster and Tate as his handicap. Last week he left the game with just 11 yards and now he could miss out on Week 9.
