NBA Trade Rumors: Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young Likely On Trading Block For Sixers As Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers Options?

The NBA season is brand new and while the Philadelphia 76ers are currently undefeated, no one expects them to remain that way for long and as things go bad, some players that could get moved down the line are Thaddeus Young and Evan Turner, as an extension did not happen for Turner before the season and that means the two could part ways in a trade before next summer.

Turner was the former number two overall pick and so far over his time in Philly, not much has gone right for the team or for him and now there is a good chance that he could get moved this season. According to USA Today, Turner has not been all too pleased with the team and he even mentioned how new general manager Sam Hinkie is "not my GM" and moving along that direction could mean a trade deal and some options could be the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers, but all that is just speculation.

Turner, like other players taken in his draft year in 2010, was eligible for an extension before the October 31 deadline, but unlike John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Paul George, Turner was left without a contract and that likely means the 24-year-old and the Sixers will be parting ways. USA Today reports that Turner could get an $8.7 million fifth-year qualifying offer before the summer, but the Sixers are not expected to do that and that means he will be an unrestricted free agent, but if they do, he will be a restricted one.

Turner has played solid this season, but so far he has not quite lived up to expectations and the constant turnover of the team could have something to do with that. Turner says the team did not speak to him about an extension and last season he played in all 82 games, but his numbers were not anything special, as they came out to 13.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists while playing in just over 30 minutes per game.

Thaddeus Young and Turner along with Spencer Hawes and other players could find themselves out of town like Jrue Holiday did in the offseason, as the team is looking like they are rebuilding guard. Turner led the team in scoring against the Miami Heat this past week and performances like that might be enough to get his trade value up and the Sixers, who were able to get Holiday to the Pelicans for rookie center Nerlens Noel and a first-round draft and Turner could try and net them more picks.

"I really don't know, to tell you the truth," Turner said. "[Hinkie] just traded Jrue, and Jrue is like a walking legend, you know what I'm saying? Even Wilt Chamberlain got traded, right?"
