Miami Dolphins Rumors: Joe Philbin Fired Over Richie Incognito Bullying? Head Coach On Hot Seat With Jonathan Martin Situation

The Miami Dolphins are dealing with a very tough situation when it comes to the Richie Incognito bullying and with Joe Philbin being looked at in the head coaching position as a leader for the team, his job could be on the line if it's found out that the upper levels of management knew what was going on.

Philbin has come out to say that he is in charge of the "workplace atmosphere" and that in itself could be what comes up when things happen down the line. Incognito obviously was suspended for conduct detrimental to the team and after all that and the procedures works itself out, he likely will get released, but as mentioned by numerous outlets, if it's found out that Philbin or others knew about the bullying, Philbin could be the man to go. The Dolphins came into the season with high expectations and now the team is just 4-4 after starting 3-0 and losing four straight games and with the NFL looking into the allegations, things will come out.

Philbin said at first that Martin never came to him with a complaint and that the official complaint came later down the line and if it comes out that Philbin was wrong or was not honest about it, he could be done for the Dolphins. Philbin said that he is the one working to get players to be at their full potential and he said that any "conduct or behavior" going against that will "not be tolerated."

The Dolphins situation obviously looks terrible right now and the past actions of Incognito are nothing new, as he has previously been fined and penalized numerous times for his actions and he also had incidents in college as well. ESPN.com has reported on the fact that Incognito's bullying was not an isolated incident and that brings up the question of why no one stepped in and what the coaching staff knew and when. Philbin will be in a tough spot the rest of the season and he may not make it to next year.
