The Dallas Mavericks travel to Oklahoma where they will play the Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday night. The action will air on ESPN, but if you cannot watch it on your TV or happen to be stuck some place without the ESPN channel, check out the live stream available online for free.
The Mavericks and Thunder are seventh and eighth in the standings to start the season, but this will definitely not be the case in April or May. The Mavericks might not have the best team, but they have a chance as a lot of teams have fallen off in the West. The Los Angeles Lakers do not have a true offensive weapon and for some reason, the Denver Nuggets are struggling.
Now that the Thunder have Russell Westbrook back, they are truly a force in the Western Conference. They missed him badly in the playoffs last year, but he is now back and the Thunder are ready for another run. Westbrook helped the Thunder get past the Phoenix Suns in his first game back, but he was not as explosive as he usually was, this is what he had to say about his performance.
"I just missed some easy ones, but that will come," Westbrook said. "I'm able to do what I want. I could be better but that's all right. That's expected. I'm not expected to come back and be bionic man. I'm just going to work my way through it."
Without a doubt, the duo of Westbrook and Kevin Durant will take the Thunder far in 2013. They are two of the best players to team up and wear the same jersey. The Thunder will look to make anther championship run, where they can win the franchise's first Larry O'Brien trophy.
