New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur said he is "leaning towards coming back" next season.

Brodeur had had a great campaign so far, helping the Devils to the Stanley Cup finals and the winningest goalie in the NHL said he was having a lot of fun.

"It's been a fun month-and-a half or so," Brodeur told reporters after Monday's practice. "I think the boys have played really well, a lot of energy and intensity. Making the Stanley Cup playoffs is just fun, I'm really enjoying it, probably more than in the past.

"For me it's all about having fun coming in to the rink. Some say it's fun to retire on top, but at the end of the day, when I say it's over it's going to be over. After last season I thought this would be my final one, but right now, I'm leaning toward coming back."

Brodeur, 40, said being around the winning mentality of the team has made him feel younger and happier. "It's fun to look at these guys and I feel like one of them, just a little more experienced than everybody. I think when you are a part of a successful hockey team, ages, experience, nationalities, everything goes out the window. It's all about the team."

Brodeur, who won the Stanley Cup in 1995, 2000 and 2003, said while the Los Angeles Kings have had it easy in the playoffs so far, come the finals, everything will be different. "Everything starts from scratch now. They (LA Kings) have made it easy on themselves. They've got some good performers and Quick has been great and they have got some fourth-liners to perform.

"We've been through adversity, especially in the first round. I thought second round and third round we played really well.

"I think this is going to be different. Everytime you go to a Stanley Cups final, you don't know much about the team you play. But I'm sure, we'll learn fast."
