Both teams are 3-2 and both teams havfe enough talent to have a healthy 2013 season. They have some of the league's top talents on their roster; Blake Griffin & Chris Paul on the Clippers while the Heat have LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Yes, Wade is old, but even at 70 percent and knee issues, he is a better player to have on the floor 3/4 of the league.
The Heat are clearly on a mission to win their third consecutive title. They have made a couple of additions as they look to gain more dominance in the paint. The Heat, like the Clippers, rely on the open floor, striving when playing a quick paced game. However, they can also play half-court basketball. They are have three-point shooters and James is an all-around great player who can pass, rebound and shoot from the outside.
The Clippers are the perfect team to try and slow down the Heat. They too run up and down the floor very well, but can simmer things down in the half court and kniockdown shots from anywhere on the floor. Paul is a genius passer who disrupts defenses with his ability to drive to the hoop and find the open player on the floor. With Griffin and DeAndre Jordan handling the paint, the Clippers have the length and strength advantage in the key.
The Heat will have to prove themselves in this meeting as their slow start signals that the team is not on the same page. Meanwhile, the Clippers are trying to battle in a tough Western Conference. Winning early will only allow both teams to cement themselves as two of the best in the league.
