Tim Tebow Rumors: NFL Free Agent To College TV Broadcasting? QB Hires CAA Agent Nick Khan For Television Football Career

Tim Tebow is an NFL free agent quarterback and with a number of teams in the league dealing with injuries at the position over the past few weeks and not being interested, Tebow is looking towards some alternate career paths if the league keeps saying no, as he has hired CAA agent Nick Khan to represent him on the entertainment side as a possible college football broadcaster.

According to Sports Illustrated and NFL.com, Tebow has hired Khan as a representative for him in regards to a career on television along with his football agent Jimmy Sexton and Khan comes in as a "prominent" broadcasting agent in the industry. Tebow would be a very big candidate to appear on college football broadcasts, especially someone like Fox Sports 1, who could use a big draw to take eyes off ESPN. The network is trying to get a foothold in college football and their paltry ratings for the studio would easily get boosted by Tebow, who has the ability to get eyes, which is why ESPN went so hard with him last year and continues to do so at times.

Tebow has not been able to get back on a team full time since being released by the New England Patriots and that came after his terrible stint with the New York Jets, who wasted anything they could have had with the quarterback. Tebow has won a playoff game and a division title and while he led the Denver Broncos to a number of big comebacks and the upset win against the Steelers, he has been unable to catch on even as a backup. He was released by the Patriots after the preseason and while he was with the Jets he barely got to play at all and the reports from Ian Rapoport are the first confirmed stories about Tebow moving towards the direction of television.

There were rumors that Tebow could consider working in television if his NFL career did not work out, but those were just rumors and this now appears to be a real step by the quarterback. Tebow hasn't looked great since his run with the Broncos and while he deserves a shot to be a backup in the league, clearly other teams have not been willing to give him that yet. Either way, he could keep his options open by moving into broadcasting and the way he gets endorsements and with his popularity, Tebow would likely be successful in that field.
