Yahoo Space Jam 30 For 30 Video: Mockumentary Looks At Michael Jordan, Tune Squad and Monstars Game From Movie (Watch)

ESPN has things on lock down when it comes to sports documentaries right now with their "30 for 30" series, but Yahoo Sports has a leg up for the moment, as they spoofed the series with a mock documentary detailing the movie "Space Jam" and the game between the Tune Squad and Monstars from the film.

Michael Jordan of course starred in the film with Bill Murray and other NBA stars back in the 90s and it was a smash hit for many and still stands up as a fun and entertaining sports film. Michael took on the Monstars team with the Tune Squad and the documentary details the game and the matchup in great fashion, with Kurt Rambis, Mark Madsen, Greg Anthony and many others speaking about it on camera. It has been nearly two decades since the film was released and now it's getting the doc treatment from Yahoo Sports from the Yahoo! Screen series.

The film detailed the exploits of the monsters after they stole away the talent from Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson, Charles Barkley, Muggsy Bogues, and Shawn Bradley, leaving Michael Jordan to get a team together and he plays along with a number of characters, including Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck as well as a whole roster of players.

Check out the video here from Yahoo.

One quote from the short:

"Jordan had beaten Magic and Bird, but this was a whole different beast," analyst Doug Gottlieb said. "We're talking about three 12-footers and two guys with spikes coming out of their heads."
