NBA Trade Rumors: Jimmer Fredette and Iman Shumpert Kings Deals Possible As Sixers Have Interest For Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young From Dallas Mavericks?

The NBA season is heading into another month on the schedule and that means it's getting closer to the trading deadline and as the year moves along, it is likely that trade rumors will start popping up more and more and they have already, as names like Omer Asik, Derrick Williams, Steve Nash, Jimmer Fredette, Thaddeus Young, Evan Turner and Iman Shumpert all could move.

Fredette and Williams have been mentioned in trade rumors numerous times since last season and over the summer, while Shumpert could be the player that gets moved by James Dolan to make up for the slow start for the Knicks this season. Evan Turner and Young have been mentioned as possible trade chips for the Sixers, as they are thought to be one of the worst teams in the league and those players have value and GM Sam Hinkie has said that the team plans on looking at deals this season to help build the team for the future. Gay and Asik have been mentioned as possible options for teams as well and the Raptors and Rockets could make a move down the line.

The Raptors acquired Rudy Gay last season in a trade with the Grizzlies and while they like what he brings to the team, general manager Masai Ujiri does not see him as a building block for the future and that is one reason why he likely will go. Gay is making over $15 million this season and while the Raptors have some talent and could make a playoff run this season, the team likely will deal Gay to a contender if they can. Gay is averaging nearly 20 points and he will look very good to a team that needs scorers going forward.

The Kings have started off pretty bad and Fredette has been a name that has come up multiple times, especially after the team declined to extend him before the season. USA Today reports that two teams have looked into Fredette as a trade option and one may be the Cavaliers, who were linked to him last season. The team has Greivis Vasquez, Isaiah Thomas and Ray McCallum and now much room for Fredette and that could mean he is dealt this season.

Shumpert is an interesting option for the Knicks, as they clearly need to shake something up and with the team struggling, they could make a move with their best young player. James Dolan has been known to make a move or two like this in the past and Bleacher Report suggests a move involving Kenneth Faried, as the Nuggets are looking to move him and the Knicks sure could use a big man in the middle after losing Tyson Chandler to an injury for over a month. Reports have the team possibly wanting to trade for Rajon Rondo, but that's nothing more than a dream and while it would be hard to part with Shumpert, it could be the best move for the team right now. There are a number of players that could be looking at Shumpert and a contender would be wise to snag him if the Knicks are looking to give him up.
