The fight on Saturday night between Manny Pacquiao and Brandon Rios is the most anticipated match of the year and comes after Pacquiao has lost his last two fights and the match will be broadcast live on HBO pay per view and the fight will be live around 9:00 PM ET in the United States as it goes live from the Venetian Macao in Macau in China and the replay will be on HBO GO.
The match is on Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the US and technically the next day in China and a huge battle for Pacquiao, who lost some of his luster in his past two fights, as he was knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez and also was defeated on decision in a controversial fight against Timothy Bradley last year and now this marks his chance to get back on the winning side of things. Pacquiao comes into the match still as the best fighter in the world, although no one can really say that until he fights Floyd Mayweather and while this fight with Rios is big and anticipated, it would be nothing compared to that fight.
Pacquiao is on the same side of the world as his home nation of the Philippines and he said that he will have his people in his hart when he takes on Rios on Saturday night or Sunday depending on where you are watching. Pacquiao has plenty riding on this match, as it could be one of his "legacy" matches as his career draws down and after the disaster in his home nation, he will have the hopes of his people riding along with him.
Pacquiao comes into the match 54-5-2 with nearly 40 knockouts and he is currently on his only two match losing streak in his career and he is up against a fighter in Rios looking to get things back to good himself. Rios comes in with a 31-1-1 record and 23 knockouts, but he too lost his last match to Mike Alvarado after beating him the first time around and his camp would like to get back onto the winning side of things as well. Pacquiao has won many titles and on Saturday night the battle in China will be for the WBO International Welterweight title and the drama between the two sides is already building.
Naturally the two camps have started getting into each other and it started up this week as both were training and Freddie Roach got into a scuffle with the team training Rios. Both teams are using the same area to train and Roach got upset when Rios was working there late and the two sides of course started going at each other. Either way, the match will be going down at 9 pm on Saturday night in China and Manny Pacquiao will be looking to get back into things the right way against Brandon Rios.
