Tim Tebow Sports Illustrated: Quarterback SI Article Details Aaron Hernandez Bar Fight Rumors, Cam Newton, NFL Future and Denver Broncos

Tim Tebow is back in the spotlight a bit after an article on the quarterback appeared on SI.com as one of the newest Sports Illustrated longform pieces and the profile by Thomas Lake takes on all types of angles while looking at the past and future of the Heisman winner, including the time he was with Aaron Hernnadez when he got into a bar fight as well as his future in the NFL.

The article from SI was broken up into a number of parts, looking at Tebow through a number of different lenses, including his time with the Florida Gators, his relationship with Aaron Hernandez and Urban Meyer as well as reasons why he has not found success yet in the NFL. Part one talks about the fourth quarter and how Tebow performs better when things are breaking down due to his preparation and style of play and after that the article looks at his early years in Florida with the Gators.

Some forget that Cam Newton and Tim Tebow were once in the same meeting rooms and while Newton has obviously been the greater success in the NFL, Tebow was "the man" in Urban Meyer's eyes and the article details how Newton may have not gotten a fair shake at the school. Yes, Tebow was coming off of a Heisman trophy win, but still, Newton clearly was pretty good in the SEC as well. Continuing with the Florida time, Lake starts the next part with a question that many have for Tebow: whether it's real or just an act. He connects that to a time he was with Hernandez at a bar when both were underage and this was before he had ever started for Florida, and Hernandez got into an incident and punched someone. Tebow mediated and cooperated with police and eventually the situation was handled with no charges filed.

The back stretch of the article gets into his time in the NFL with the Denver Broncos and details his time with the New York Jets and why things went so wrong. Tebow had the chance to go to Jacksonville and did not and now he is where he is, making all those decisions very interesting looking at where they ended up. It also goes over his time with the Patriots and why that came to a quick end and it also poses the question about the future for Tebow and whether that is in the NFL.

The article is a great read and check it out here on SI.com.
