Tiger Woods is excited about the 2014 major championship schedule on the PGA Tour heading into next year, but the golfer is not sure about making a trip to Sochi, Russia for the 2014 Winter Olympics to support his girlfriend Lindsey Vonn, who is dealing with an injury as she heads into the major event.
According to USA Today, Woods said that one reason has to do with the fact that Vonn may not be there because of her injury and he also said that he is not sure yet what the situation will be when the Olympics come around. Woods and Vonn have been seen together in public plenty and Vonn has appeared at a number of Woods' events on tour this year. Vonn has been testing her knee since getting injured two weeks ago and that comes after a serious injury from earlier in the year that she needed surgery for.
Woods had another fantastic year on tour in 2013, but he did not win a major again and now he will be playing his final event of the year at Sherwood Country Club for the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge and he is coming off of another PGA Tour player of the year award and he has won this tourney five times.
"It's day to day," Woods said Wednesday when asked about his travel plans for the Olympics. "We just don't know how her leg is going to be."
