Fantasy Week 15 Injury Value Picks: Dennis Pitta, Ladarius Green Best Pickups For Rob Gronkowski With Charles Clay At TE

The fantasy football playoffs are here and with a player like Rob Gronkowski getting injured in the back stretch, fantasy owners are scrambling to pick up players and the top pickups for Week 15 are Dennis Pitta, Ladarius Green and Charles Clay along with Jordan Cameron at TE.

Gronkowski was injured on a terrible hit from TJ Ward and now his season is done after tearing up his knee and the NFL needs to figure out something, because players may start losing careers over knee injuries and now fantasy owners are looking for a replacement for Gronk, the best TE in the league. According to ESPN.com, Gronk tore his ACL and MCL in his knee and will be done for the season and it comes after he made 39 catches for 592 yards since coming back from his injuries last season. The team now has to scramble and so do fantasy owners, luckily there is some depth at the position and Pitta is the best pick as he comes back from an injury for the Ravens.

Pitta is the top pick up this week, as many fantasy owners have not even realized that he has returned for the Ravens and he should be a top target for Joe Flacco the rest of the season as they make a playoff push in the AFC. Pitta was targeted 11 times and made six catches for 48 yards and a touchdown on Sunday in his first game of the season and with Pitta being a favorite target for Joe Flacco, he could be a huge get for fantasy owners heading into the back stretch. Last season he had a very solid year and now that Pitta will be getting back to game speed, he will targeted even more going forward from Flacco.

Charles Clay has been the best sleeper pickup at the position and one of the best in all of football this season, as he has stepped up for an injured Dustin Keller and he is coming off two games that saw him get seven catches and 10 targets and on Sunday he had 97 yards and a two scores against the Steelers. Clay is the top player on the team from Sunday in all phases with catches, receptions and targets and he should continue getting looks in the offense from Ryan Tannehill and the Patriots are up next and they give up yards to teams at the position. Three of the past four games has seen Clay get 80 or more yards and he has had three scores over the past four games as well and should be a prime option with 60 catches this season and he is still available in many leagues.

Green was not a factor on Sunday against the Giants, but after scoring twice in his previous two games and making five catches on 11 targets, he is a nice option for the owners in deeper leagues that lost Gronk. Losing Gronk is tough for the Pats and fantasy owners, has he had four touchdowns in the past five games and was putting up monster numbers again and now his 2014 season is in doubt. Damn yo.
