Tottenham Hotspur Rumors: Jurgen Klinsmann Not Joining Spurs In English Premier League After Andre Villas-Boas Fired

The Tottenham Hotspurs let go of manager Andre Villas-Boas after their embarrassing loss on Sunday to Liverpool at White Hart Lane and now rumors have come up that US men's national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann could take over, but that is a long shot.

According to ESPNFC.com and The Sun, Klinsmann's name has come up as a possible replacement, but United States Soccer Federation president Sunil Gulati said that he is "confident" that Klinsmann will not be joining the club. Tottenham had a rough go of it on Sunday with the 5-0 loss against Liverpool and that came after another shutout at 6-0 against Manchester city and now the club is back to fifth on the English Premier League table.

Klinsmann has led the US team to its greatest year of success and they are prepaing to play in one of the World Cup groups of death in the Brazil 2014 tournament against Ghana, Germany and Portugal and of course the German team is the former club of Klinsmann. The manager has a deal leading him through the World Cup after signing an extension and now Tottenham has had his name come up in rumors.

Gulati said: "We're not oblivious to the fact Jurgen's success has attracted interest from outside the US."
