Aaron Rodgers Injury: Green Bay Packers Quarterback Could Start Against Pittsburgh Steelers If Healthy As Playoff Race Won't Impact Move

The Green Bay Packers are entering the most important two game stretch of the season as they try to make a push to the playoffs and while Aaron Rodgers has been out, the quarterback will not rush back under center despite the team being in postseason contention.

According to Pro Football Talk, Rodgers said on the radio this week that he would not rush back from his injury to start for the Packers just because the playoffs are still possible. The team got a huge boost from the Baltimore Ravens with their win over the Detroit Lions and the tie against the Minnesota Vikings will be a big bump as well. Matt Flynn played good enough on Sunday to bring the Packers back against the Cowboys and Rodgers will get looked at again before any decisions are made.

The team is 7-6-1 and Rodgers could come back for the finale if he misses the game on Sunday and that could be nice for the Packers if they are still alive for the playoffs. The team finishes the season against the Chicago Bears on the road and they currently are the top team in the North.

From the Sunday games: The Colts won big over the Houston Texans to give them their 12th loss of the season and the Dolphins were able to outlast the Patriots before the Vikings pulled out a huge win against the Eagles. Minnesota won without Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart in the lineup and the Seattle Seahawks shutout the Giants with a huge performance and the San Francisco 49ers were able to take down the Buccaneers with a dominating performance. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders battled and Jamaal Charles had a huge game and that came before the Cowboys blew their matchup against the Packers. IT was the biggest comeback win for the Packers and they were very impressive and the team pulled off a big interception off Tony Romo to seal things and even though the team lost, they still have a good chance to make the playoffs.
