Eastern Conference Finals: Celtics Defeat Heat, Up 3-2 in Series

The Boston Celtics stole a win in Game 5, taking a 3-2 lead in the series. It was another close one, but in the end the Celtics hit nine straight free throws to lock up the 94-90 win.

Kevin Garnett had a team high 26 points and racked up 11 boards. Paul Pierce proved clutch hitting a big three to give the Celtics a four-point lead with 53 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Her finished with 19 points.

LeBron James had 30 points and Dwyane Wade scored 27, but it was not enough. They were the only Heat players to score in double figures.

The Heat are not in a favorable position as the Celtics will look to wrap this series up at home on Thursday night.
