NCAA College Football Schedule 2014: BCS Bowl Games On ESPN Start Before Auburn and Florida State Championship

The college football schedule has been going hard with bowl games all through December and now that New Year's Day and 2014 are here, there are the first set of BCS games with the Rose Bowl and the Fiesta Bowl on ESPN on Wednesday night and along with that are games on ESPN2 and ABC involving teams like Baylor, Michigan State, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Georgia and Nebraska, starting up at 12:00 pm noon with the Gator Bowl.

The schedule on New Year's Day has a number of big games on both ESPN and ABC as well as ESPN2 and ESPNU and the action starts off with Nebraska and Georgia playing in the Gator Bowl and that starts up at 12 pm noon on ESPN2. The game comes after the Bulldogs lost a crazy game to the Auburn Tigers and now they will face off against the Huskers in a Big Ten and SEC conference matchup in the Bowl game. UNLV and North Texas are playing the Heart of Dallas Bowl on ESPNU starting up at 12 pm noon and the next game is one of the top matchups of all the bowls on the schedule, the Capital One Bowl featuring the Wisconsin Badgers and the South Carolina Gamecocks and that matchup will be on ABC. The bowl game is one of the most anticipated on the schedule and has two top 20 ranked teams going at it, as Wisconsin is 19th and the Gamecocks are ranked ninth heading into the final matchup and it starts up at 1 pm.

The Outback Bowl starts up at the same time at 1:00 pm and that has a nice matchup as well with the LSU Tigers and the Iowa Hawkeyes playing in a Big Ten and SEC game and will be on TV on ESPN. The matchup has the Tigers looking to end the season on a high note for senior QB Zach Mettenberger, who will be on the sidelines after going down with a knee injury in the game against Arkansas in November and that means Anthony Jennings will be under center and it should be a tough matchup against a solid Iowa defensive unit. The Tigers come into the matchup 9-3 on the season and it comes after Jennings threw just 10 passes all season and he will be relying on Jeremy Hill, who leads the team in rushing and he has scored 14 touchdowns.

The BCS matchups also finally start up on ESPN with the Rose Bowl game from Pasadena at 5 pm and that game has Stanford taking on Michigan State in a classic Pac-12 and Big Ten matchup for the Cardinal and Spartans and the game will be streaming on the WatchESPN website as well. The game has Stanford coming in after defeating the Arizona State Sun Devils and MSU comes in after ending the undefeated season for Ohio State. The next BCS matchup is the Fiesta Bowl from Arizona and that game will be a matchup between two great offensive teams in UCF and Baylor and the Bears come in with Bryce Petty at quarterback and that game will be on ESPN starting up at 8:30 pm.
