The NFL playoffs are ready to start on Saturday and there are two games for the wild card round weekend schedule, with Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium, while the New Orleans Saints will be playing the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field and both games will be airing on NBC and streaming online this weekend and the Saints matchup starts at 8:10 pm and is a prime matchup of offensive teams.
The New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles game has the potential to be the highest scoring of the wild card weekend, as both offenses can put up points and it comes just a couple weeks after the Eagles hung 50 points on the Bears and with the way the Saints play on the road, it could end up being a shootout. Chip Kelly led his team to the playoffs as NFC East division winners in his first season as head coach and Nick Foles emerged as a legitimate starter and he was one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the NFL, passing for 27 touchdowns and just two interceptions and he started the season with 19 TDs before throwing his first pick.
BRees had another fantastic season for the Saints with over 5,000 yards passing and Jimmy Graham showed why he is the best tight end in football with over 1,200 yards and the team went 11-5 and is now in the sixth seed after the Carolina Panthers won the NFC South division. The team is coming off of a win against the Buccaneers that put them in the playoffs and they are ranked second in the NFL in passing yards per game this season and that could make for an entertaining matchup on Saturday night.
The AFC playoff matchup has the division winning Colts taking on the fifth seeded Chiefs in Indy and it comes after the two teams played weeks ago and Andrew Luck came out on top in that matchup over Alex Smith and Kansas City. The Chiefs have a better record than the Colts, but Indy won the AFC South division and Kansas City finished second to the Denver Broncos and now these two teams will go at it for the first postseason game of the year.
Andrew Luck and the Colts are into the playoffs for the second straight year and after having to travel to play the Baltimore Ravens, the team has a home matchup on the turf and that could give the Colts a huge boost. The team has been playing without Reggie Wayne since he was lost for the season, but the younger set of receivers has stepped up and TY Hilton has been great for Luck. The games on Sunday has the San Diego Chargers taking on the Cincinnati Bengals at 1:05 pm on CBS, while the late game will be the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field at 4:40 pm on FOX.
