The San Diego Chargers and the Cincinnati Bengals will get the AFC playoffs set for the next round after the wild card finishes on Sunday for the weekend and the game will be live on CBS starting up at 1:05 pm ET and 1:10 pm ET and will be streaming live online and on the radio from Paul Brown Stadium and is a matchup of the three and six seeds after the Chiefs lost to the Colts on Saturday in the postseason.
The first AFC matchup was very exciting on Saturday with the Indianapolis Colts beating the Kansas City Chiefs after an amazing comeback and now the Bengals are hosting the wild card game and they are 11-5 and the Chargers come into the matchup at 9-7 on the season and the team comes in playing very well and this playoff matchup will dictate who plays the Patriots or the Broncos. If the Bengals win the game on Sunday, the Colts will have a matchup in Denver with Peyton Manning and now the Chargers are playing in the cold weather against the Bengals and that could play a factor and the Chargers now have the chance to win on the road with Philip Rivers playing well this season.
The Chargers got over 4,000 yards from Rivers during a rebound season for the QB and the team also got some excellent play from their skill position players despite some major injuries, with Ryan Mathews rushing for over 1,200 yards in his first full season without getting hurt, while Keenan Allen had a fantastic year with over 1,000 yards as a rookie and he has been crucial with Malcom Floyd and Danario Alexander getting injured.
The Bengals come in as AFC North division champions after going just 3-3 in the division and they went 11-5 on the season and they are now hosting a playoff game after getting in over the past two years and losing. The team has gotten some great play from Andy Dalton and AJ Green, who had over 1,400 yards this year and Andy Dalton went over 4,000 yards for the first time and they come in with a defense playing well ranked fifth in rushing and passing yards per game.
