NFL Playoffs Standings: NFC Championship Game Has Seattle Seahawks As San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers Next On Schedule

The NFL playoffs have two more games to go after the matchups on Saturday and the standings has the top seed in the NFC still alive in the Seattle Seahawks and they are waiting to see who they will play in the championship game with either the San Francisco 49ers or the Carolina Panthers next on the schedule and that game starts up on FOX at 1:05 pm on Sunday.

The Saturday matchups saw the higher seeds both win, as the Seahawks took control in their divisional game against the New Orleans Saints and now they will have either the five seed in the 49ers or the number two seed in the NFC in the Panthers, who are hosting the divisional round playoff game on Sunday afternoon. The Seahawks won and tough game 23-15 at CenturyLink Field and that was the early game on day before the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots played in the late game and that saw the two seed defeat the number four.

Tom Brady didn't need to throw a touchdown pass to get the win on Saturday night and Andrew Luck had multiple turnovers and the Patriots got a huge game out of LeGarrette Blount, who set a record with four touchdowns on the gourna dna dover 160 yards rushing. Stevan Ridley was also solid on the day and if the Patriots can continue rushing the ball that way, they will be a hard team to defeat for either the San Diego Chargers or the Denver Broncos and Brady likely will not go two games in a row without tossing a TD pass. Andrew Luck passed for over 300 yards, but he had too many poor throws and the Pats took advantage and now either Peyton Manning on Philip Rivers will be next for the Pats.

The Chargers are coming into their game against the Broncos after upsetting the Cincinnati Bengals on the road and now they are playing the Broncos on the road, but they just recently won there in Week 15 and have won five games in a row. The Seahawks didn't get a huge game from Russell Wilson but they got plenty from Marshawn Lynch and he had 140 yards rushing on the day and he will be a primary player in the championship game against either the 49ers or the Panthers.

The Seahawks have won games against both of those teams in the regular season, defeating the Carolina Panthers on the road to open the season in a 12-7 games, while the 49ers lost big on the road, but got revenge with a last second field goal in the Bay area to split the two games this season. The Seattle Seahawks now have the chance to get the Super Bowl with a win next week and they are very tough to beat at home, as Russell Wilson has lost only one game there in his professional career and now they are looking like the favorites to make it.
