Pro Bowl Draft 2014 Rosters and Picks: AFC and NFC Offense and Defense NFL All-Star Game Teams

The NFL Pro Bowl for 2014 was done draft style and now the rosters and picks are set for the Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders teams for the All-Star game, with big names like Drew Brees, Cam Newton and Larry Fitzgerald ready to play in Hawaii and the game will be on January 26 the week before the Super Bowl and will be on TV on NBC at 7 pm from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.

The NFL shook things up this season by making the draft the way the teams were selected and they did it in the hopes that it would generate excitement for both fans and players. The league followed what the NHL did for their game and came after two seasons of subpar play and the NFL threatened to take away the game if the players did not start taking it seriously. This season it appears the players are taking it seriously and after the Pro Bowl draft was done, the players were split up and now things are set for Honolulu as the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks take part in Super Bowl festivities in NY.

Things got put in over two days in the draft and some were split by position and the first picks for both teams included Drew Brees, Robert Quinn, JJ Watt and Jamaal Charles and on the second day, players like Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Jimmy Graham and LeSean McCoy were selected. The players have said that they are excited about the draft system and playing with players from both conferences and with fans also showing excitement, the NFL feels that the Pro Bowl will be more competitive than it was over the past couple seasons, as players did not play hard and there was little to no defense.

This season the players are participating in the Pro Bowl drat for the first time and the draft was finished up this week and now practices and workouts will go down as the game is on Sunday before the Super Bowl. Brees was named a player captain and he will be on the same team as his top target in Graham, while a number of players like Peyton Manning, Richard Sherman and Russell Wilson will not be able to make the game since they are playing in the Super Bowl.

Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery are in the game and so is Mario Williams, Nick Foles, Alex Smith and Larry Fitzgerald as well as players like Jordan Cameron, Jason Witten and Antrel Rolle, while Dez Bryant and AJ Green along with Josh Gordon are some of the receivers in the game. Tom Brady is missing the Pro Bowl after getting selected and he comes out after playing in the AFC Championship game and that leaves Logan Mankins, Aqib Talib and Matthew Slater as picks for the team. Nearly 20 players have left the Pro Bowl because of injury and at least 11 are out for playing in the Super Bowl this season.
