English Premier League Table Results: Manchester City First Over Arsenal and Leads Chelsea After 5-1 EPL Score Against Tottenham

The English Premier League has a new leader on the table for the time being and Manchester City is now first over Arsenal and the club leads Chelsea after winning by the score of 5-1 in EPL play against Tottenham on Wednesday and now they are tops over the Gunners heading into the weekend schedule after getting goals from Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure.

Man City has been playing better than anyone else in the EPL recently and they now have won eight straight matches and have not been defeated in 12 and it came at the expense of Tottenham on Wednesday. The club got off to a nice start with a goal from Sergio Agüero before pushing the lead with scores from Yaya Touré and Edin Dzeko before the Spurs got a goal and then they added two more from Stevan Jovetic and Vincent Kompany and now they are lokoing very strong heading into the next part of the schedule and that is big news with the Champions League last 16 coming up against Barcelona and they have the first leg at the Etihad.

Sunderland finished one up on Stoke City and Chelsea continued their struggles against West Ham United with a scoreless draw and they had the chance to pull even with Arsenal, but at least they were able to muster a point in the matchup. The first match of the day had plenty of scoring with Aston Villa and West Brom combining for seven goals and now Man City takes the lead heading into the weekend schedule for the EPL and they next will play against Chelsea and that means they have the chance at the end of the week to get ahead again.

Winning against Chelsea at home at the Etihad will be huge for the top of the table and it would put some distance between the clubs and it comes after Arsenal has their next chance to respond on Sunday. The Gunners have Crystal Palace at home and that comes before Man City plays and Liverpool also plays on Sunday and they have been great recently, continuing to get strong play from Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez.
