The Super Bowl is the best time for movie trailers to debut for some of the biggest movies of the year and two titles in the "Amazing Spider Man 2" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" will have trailers during the game and they have already put teasers on YouTube for both films and they are explosive and they will debut during the big game with more footage of Andrew Garfield and Chris Evans as the heroes.
The Sony trailer for Spider Man is a bit longer than Cap, but they have already put out more so that's understandable and it features a wide range of shots not seen in other trailers, including of Andrew Garfield as well as Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Jamie Foxx as the villain Electro and it heavily features Times Square where a lot of the action appears to be going on. Dane DeHaan also pops up as Harry Osborn and possibly the Green Goblin, while the Rhino is also in it and Sony seems to be setting up the classic Sinister Six story line from the comics.
Stone may die in this film as she follows the comic trajectory of her character and that would set up the classic Mary Jane with Spidey and the commercial cuts off before anything crazy happens and Sony asks fans to watch on Super Sunday.
The Captain America big game ad has some great visuals, including Evans taking on the Winter Solider, aka his old friend Bucky Barnes and it also has Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. One of the coolest past features Cap and Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie, about to take liftoff. This film has a great vibe and looks to be one of the best of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
