The Miami Heat won Game 7 in dominant form. At the end of the night, the scoreboard read 101-88 in favor of the Heat and they could thank their "Big Three" for getting them into the NBA Finals.
With the game tied at 73 going into the fourth quarter Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James simply took over. They combined for all 28 Heat points in the fourth quarter.
Bosh had eight, Wade had nine and Mr. "Choke in the Fourth Quarter," James, had 11.
The game-changing play occured with just under eight minutes left to play in the fourth. LeBron saw an open lane, crossed over Brandon Bass and went hard to the basket with a monster dunk.
This gave the Heat an 83-82 lead, which Bosh extended right after with a huge three-pointer from the corner.
Bosh made up for all the games he missed in the beginning of the series. He had an amazing night from the floor. Most importantly he went 3-4 from three. Overall, Bosh scored 19 points after an 8-10 shooting night.
Wade finished with 23 points and hit big time shots in the fourth. None were bigger than his fade away and-one foul with 2:53 left to play.
With the bucket and the free throw, Wade gave the Heat a 12-point lead, putting the game out of reach.
Miami went on to outscore the Boston Celtics 28-15 in the last quarter.
The Celtics ran out of gas in the last quarter of the game.
They shot 7-18 from the floor and could not get any shots to fall. The Celtics' starting five, except for Rajon Rondo, all just made one basket each in the fourth quarter.
The Miami Heat also did a better job of holding on to the rock. In the first half they had 10 turnovers.
The math is simple, the more turnovers, the less chances Wade and James have to score.
In the second half however, the Heat only had three turnovers, compared to Boston's seven, which led to 12 Heat points.
Another factor in this one was the Celtics' bench lack of offensive production. The Boston bench had more fouls than points as Ryan Hollins was the sole scorer finishing the night with two points.
In the end, the Heat's "Big Three" was more efficient than the Celtics' four scorers.
They will now travel to Oklahoma City where a young, but talented, Thunder team awaits the Heat as they attempt to win the first championship in franchise history.
LeBron James gets a third chance at winning his first ring.
