Michigan and Michigan State are facing off again on the college basketball schedule and the streaming Big Ten game for the Wolverines and Spartans comes on CBS and starts up at 12 noon ET from the Crisler Center and has two top 25 teams playing against each other and they are currently battling as the top teams in the conference and the game is at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor.
Michigan State comes into the game after winning big against Purdue and they are playing Michigan before matching up against Illinois and they are looking to take the top spot in the conference tournament. Gary Harris comes in leading the team in scoring again and he is putting in 18 points per game and Keith Appling is leading the team with five assists per game and he has been very solid once again this season and they are 11-3 in the conference, while Michigan is 10-3 and this game could help decide who wins out.
The Big Ten is one of the deepest conferences in the nation and MSU is in first place right now and they are just half a game up on Michigan, while there are a number of ranked teams in the conference, including Wisconsin, Iowa and Ohio State and all those teams could make some noise in March. The Spartans are ranked 42nd in points per game and they are scoring over 75 points per contest and they are ranked sixth in assists and are shooting 47 percent from the field. The team is allowing 65 points per game and they are ranked 18th in rebounds per game and they are stealing forcing seven steals per game.
The Wolverines are led by leading scorer Nik Stauskas and they are averaging 75 points per game and they are ranked 25th in field goal percentage with over 47 percent from the field. Wisconsin is next on the schedule after MSU and then the team plays against Purdue and the team is allowing 64 points per game and they are ranked 48th in points allowed and while they lost to Wisconsin before Michigan State, they won over Ohio State and they have four games left after MSU, as Purdue, Minnesota, Illinois and Indiana are left before the conference tournament.
