Philadelphia Phillies Fan Interferes Against Phillies

The Philadelphia Phillies are a lucky bunch. Well not really, but in comparison to the Chicago Cubs they are.

A young fan interfered with third baseman, Mike Fontenot, ran over to the third base stands to catch a pop up in foul territory.

Fontenot hustled down the ball hit by Ben Revere, the Minnesota Twins' centerfielder, with two outs and two on in the bottom of the seventh.

The youngster, Jackson Oliver had no idea Fontenot was going to actually have a chance to make a play.

What makes this funny is that he was decked out in Phillies gear. Making it slightly funnier is the fact that Mr. Oliver already has a ball in his right hand.

Talk about getting greedy.

Just for fun, here is the link to video if you have not watched it yet.

Revere had a single at the end of the at-bat and drove in the Twins' 11th run of the game. The Phils ended up losing this one 11-7.

This play simply sums up the season the Phillies have had so far. They currently sit in the bottom of the NL East.

At least this did not happen in the playoffs and it is not like the run cost the Phillies a win. The Chicago Cubs' Steve Bartman will forever be Steve Bartman.

The best thing this fan did was leave his headphones at home.
