"The Dream Team" Airs on NBA TV

The long awaited documentary on the performance of 1992 USA Men's Basketball Olympic Team will finally air today.

It is the 20-year anniversary of what many have considered to be the best sports team ever assembled.

Picture a bench with John Stockton, Clyde Drexler, Karl Malone, Chris Mullin, Scottie Pippen, David Robinson and a Cristian Laettner, who was still in college.

Should the starters even be mentioned?

Malone and Stockton alone could have destroyed a team just using their pick and roll. Robinson could have covered the paint on his own.

The starting five consisted of Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing, Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan.

The commercials, which have been airing all throughout the playoffs, show clips from the intense practices the team held.

The documentary tells the story of how all of these egos clashed. They also supposedly lost to the 1992 Select Team, headed by Anfernee Hardaway, Grant Hill and Allan Houston.

The story covers the players from training camp all the way to their crowning as they won the gold medal.

The interview process took place from September 2011 until April 2012, starting with David Robinson and finishing with Magic. All members of the team were interviewed.

The documentary will air on NBA TV at 9PM EDT tonight.
