11' - Croatia looks to have some sustained possession, but an errant pass gives Italy a chance the other way. Marchisio sends his shot too high, but a good chance for Italy.
15' - Mandzukic can't get enough height to head a cross, but a dangerous-looking chance for Croatia.
16' - Hard shot by Balotelli, but right at Pletikosa.
19' - Possible foul as Nikica Jelavic went down after contact with Giorgio Chiellini, but no call.

26' - Ivan Strinic with a dangerous cross coming in, Srna draws a dangerous free kick after Emanuel Giaccherini comes down on him hard after going up recklessly to play the ball.
27' - Free kick knocked out, corner to Croatia, Perisic gets a head on it, but wrapped up by Buffon.
29' - Balotelli made a nice pass to Marchisio, who had room, but sent a pass ahead for a teammate who never arrived. Balotelli looking strong, though.
30' - Cassano had a good run going, but nice tackle by Croatia to break up the chance.
32' - Balotelli draws a foul on Ivan Strinic.
33' - Cassano had a good shot, but looked to send it ahead for Balotelli, who couldn't get a good touch on it. Cassano needs to be less gunshy. And he shows that he knows it, sending a shot toward the goal (which also could have been a cross for Balotelli), but it rolls wide.
34' - Ballotelli tries a right footed shot from outside the box, but it sails wide to the left.
37' - TOWERING play by Pletikosa, who stones Marchisio not once, but twice at point-blank range. Great positional play and work ethic to deny Italy's best chance of the day.
39' - GOAL, ITALY! Andrea Pirlo scores on a free kick from just outside the box, kicking just above the wall and curling back into the left side of the net.
42' - Italy continuing to attack, not content with the one-goal lead, Cassano's cross goes out of Perisic for an Italian corner.
