' - Action under way at PGE Arena, Shay Given in net for Ireland, Iker Casillas for Spain
' - GOAL, SPAIN! Fernando Torres with the early strike for the World Champions. Great ball movement after David Silva was dispossessed of the ball, and Given never really had a chance.
' - Silva gets a hard left-footed shot off, scooped up by Given.
' - Nearly another for Torres, as Arbeloa set the table for him with a header, but the shot goes wide to the right.
' - Keith Andrews tries to get Ireland on the board with a shot from just outside the box, but it's deflected out for a corner, which passes without any danger.
' - Spain not especially crisp, with a handful of miscues, but they're still controlling the play effectively.
' - Spain passing effectively now, great ball movement, and pressure on Sean St. Ledger to break up the chance.
' - Corner for Spain, but no set piece. Spain continues to control possession and create chances with their passing.
' - Gerard Piqué tries a shot for Spain, but the ball falls into the waiting arms of Given.
' - Free kick for Spain, Xavi's initial pass gets knocked around, but Spain winds up in possession. Iniesta and Silva can't quite connect, and Given scoops up the ball to end the threat for the moment.
' - Spain with some sharp passing, but Silva can't quite hang onto possession. Spain gets it back, though, and Iniesta tests Given.
' - Jordi Alba crosses one for Silva from the left side, whose header is deflected high and out of play for a corner.
' - Xavi sends it to Xabi Alonso, whose shot is deflected out by Robbie Keane for another corner.
' - Goal kick for Ireland after Pique heads one out.
' - Ireland gets the ball upfield, but Aiden McGeady can't make a good enough cross to set up an opportunity against Spain's defense.
' - Ireland defending better, clearing away a loose ball just at the edge of the box.
' - Torres tries another shot, but can't put enough on it, and it's scooped up by Given. Ugly moment for the officials, as the referee runs into Andrews
' - Yellow card on Robbie Keane for a late challenge on Iniesta.
' - One of Ireland's better runs of the day looks to set up Simon Cox, but he can't get a good shot off and Spain takes it going the other way.
' - More fancy passing from the Spaniards, but no shot comes before Ireland finally takes the ball back. Spain's fancy passing needs to lead to more shots.
' - Iniesta does try a shot, but it's blocked by Richard Dunne.
' - Now it's Xavi trying a shot, but he can't get enough on it, and Given scoops it up.
' - Spain showing more urgency, but Given makes a nice save on Arbeloa's shot and Dunne does his part as well on another shot.
' - Spain corner punched away by Given, but the ball winds up with Xabi Alonso, whose shot goes wide.
' + 1 - Glenn Whelan takes a yellow card after bringing down Silva. Free kick to Spain should be the last chance, with just one minute added.
HALFTIME: Iniesta's shot was punched over the goal by Given for the last play of the half. Spain clearly the stronger side, but Ireland has done a good job hanging around.
' - Action resumed at PGE Arena.
' - Spain's passing still looking sharp, putting the Irish back on their heels right away.
' - Arbeloa gets a good hard shot from the ride save, but Given goes down to make the save.
' - GOAL, SPAIN! Given made a good save on Iniesta's shot, but his parry came right to Silva, who outmaneuvers THREE Irish defenders and sends a low roller into the back corner of the net. Given very upset with himself on what didn't look like much of a shot, but he's not getting much help at all.
' - Ireland chasing the ball now, but Spain is just too skilled, for the most part.
' - Xabi Alonso gets a yellow card for shoving down Jonathan Walters.

' - Javi Martinez into the game for Spain now, as Alonso takes a seat.
' - Most dangerous chance of the day for Ireland, as Sergio Ramos and Casillas collided trying to knock McGeady's cross out. Corner kick doesn't do much, and Spain has a chance at the other end for Torres, well broken up by Stephen Ward.
' - GOAL, SPAIN! Torres gets his second of the day to nail the coffin shut on Ireland. Set up beautifully by Silva, Torres was all alone with Given and lifted the ball over his outstretched arm and back into the net.
' - No hat trick bid for Torres, as he comes off in favor of Cesc Fabregas.

' - Given tested again by Cazorla, solid save.
' - GOAL, SPAIN! Fabregas takes the pass off the corner, blasts it at a tough angle past Given. Great finish, sloppy defending from Ireland.
' - Yellow card for Sean St. Ledger after an ill-advised challenge on Silva.
' - Ireland fans' spirit not broken, as they still sing despite their side being dominated on the pitch.
'90 + 1 - Into three minutes of added time.
