Miami and North Carolina State are playing live on Thursday night in the ACC Conference Tournament Second Round and the game is streaming live from ESPN and WatchESPN at 7 pm ET and comes live from the Greensboro Coliseum and has two teams look for a win and heading towards matchups with the top teams in the conference in Syracuse, Duke and Virginia.
Miami comes in after winning against Virginia Tech in the first round and now they will get the chance to pull an upset, as NC State has a better record that the Canes and they come in with a 19-12 record. Miami comes into the day with 61 points per game and while that isn't the best offensive number, the team has been by far one of the best defensive teams in the country and they come in ranked in the top 10 and they have less than 60 points allowed per game.
The team is averaging nearly five steals per game and they are adding over 30 rebounds per contest and they came into the postseason after winning two of their last three games and one of those was against NC State and that was on the road and now they have a chance to do it again. The ACC was very deep this season and they had four ranked teams and the Cavaliers ended up winning the conference while Syracuse ended up in second after starting 25-0 and they were ahead of Duke and North Carolina, while Miami was in the middle of the pack. The team had losses against UVA and Pitt during the season and now NC State comes in after a win against Boston College.
The Wolfpack went 9-9 this season in the ACC and they won over BC with a great game from TJ Warren and he added 42 points and 13 rebounds in the game and he will be key for the team. The team is scoring over 71 points per game and they are shooting nearly 46 percent from the field and the defense has been going for over four blocks per game. The team won its last game of the season against Pitt and they lost against Miami and UNC to end the year and now they have another matchup on Thursday.
The two teams are looking to advance in the ACC tournament and Miami is very pesky and they could end up being a surprise team to come out of the conference if they continue playing well.
