Kyriakos Papadopoulos is flattered by reports linking him with a move to Manchester United, but said he is happy at Schalke for now.
Papadopoulos is considered as one of the hottest young prospects in Europe with recent speculation linking him with a move to United. The 20-year-old has already established himself at Schalke after moving from Olympiakos in 2010.
The central defender is currently with the Greece squad at Euro 2012, and admitted he was flattered to hear about rumors linking him to a club with the stature of Manchester United, but said he was unaware of any real interest.
"I don't know if there is any interest from Manchester United," he told Sky Sports.
"It's an honour for me to hear that such a big club likes my football, but at the moment I don't know anything about it.
"Of course I would like to someday play for Manchester United, but I am a player of Schalke and I am focused on them."
The big defender said he was focusing his energy on guiding Greece to the knockout stages. Greece face a difficult task to make it to the quarterfinals after taking just one point from their first two games.
"I am very happy to be a member of the national team at such a big competition, at my age," the big defender said.
"I have played a lot of games in European competitions such as the Champions League and Europa League with Schalke, but the feeling here is unique.
"I hope to beat Russia and play in the next round."
